This site runs on a server that we rent from Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd., Larnaca, Cyprus) in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Hostinger processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR); where Hostinger uses service providers outside the European Economic Area for this, the agreement safeguards it in line with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

For every request the web server writes a log: IP address, time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page and the browser identifier. We need this to run the site securely and to detect errors or attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The server rotates the logs daily and deletes them after 14 days.

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses no analytics or advertising services. Fonts and graphics are on our own server; your browser loads no content from third-party servers when you visit.

If you write to service@bequ.io, we only use your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Our mailboxes are hosted by Google Workspace (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland); Google processes the emails on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Google may also process data in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We keep your email as long as we need it for your request, and beyond that only where commercial or tax law requires it.

The links on this site lead to qr-code-world.com and to our shop bequ.store. The code at the top of the home page leads to bequ.codes/en/qr-code-world and forwards from there to QR Code World; our server logs this request like any other (section 2). The code on the hoodie in the product photo forwards via qr.bequ.io. Your device only connects to the respective site when you open a link or scan a code.

The links to the shop carry the addition utm_source=bequ.codes so the shop can see that you came from here; it contains no personal details. What is processed on the linked sites is explained in the privacy policy of QR Code World (new tab) and the privacy policy of bequ.store (new tab).

You have the right to:

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

The site can only be reached encrypted (TLS). There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
